Vancouver police have arrested a suspect after a teenager was shot in the neck with a BB gun Monday night near Point Grey Secondary School.
According to the news release by VPD, the victim was approached by several unknown suspects at about 9:45 p.m. The group left the area before returning, and one youth allegedly shot the teenager.
Police located and arrested the suspect nearby. During the arrest, officers seized a BB gun, a knife, and a can of bear spray. According to the news release, a violation ticket was issued in connection with possession of the bear spray.
The victim was not seriously injured. According to the news release, the investigation remains ongoing, and Vancouver police will submit a report to Crown counsel.
