Vancouver Police have arrested a suspect in Tuesday night’s suspicious death in the West End, which the police are investigating as homicide.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on September 10, there was an altercation inside 1125 Pendrell Street, where 29-year-old Kyle Vincent Gabriel was found injured. He died later in the hospital.
Last night, VPD officers arrested a 23-year-old Vancouver man near Pendrell and Thurlow streets. During the arrest, the suspect allegedly assaulted a police officer and tried to injure a police dog.
The homicide investigation is ongoing and no charges related to the homicide have been laid at this time. Charges of assaulting a police officer and assaulting a police service dog, related to the arrest, have been recommended to Crown counsel.
