West van police arrest suspect in Horseshoe Bay assault

West Vancouver police have arrested a man in connection with a June 3 assault on a female youth in the 6300 block of Keith Road in Horseshoe Bay.

West Vancouver police have arrested a man on Vancouver Island in connection with an assault on a female youth in Horseshoe Bay earlier this month.

According to a West Vancouver Police Department social media post, the incident occurred just before 3:20 p.m. on June 3 in the 6300 block of Keith Road in West Vancouver. A female youth walking southbound on the sidewalk was assaulted by an unknown man walking northbound, who attempted to grab her as he passed. The victim was able to free herself and flee to safety.

A suspect was arrested on Vancouver Island and is next scheduled to appear in North Vancouver Provincial Court on September 9, 2026, according to the social media post.
