WVPD are investigating threatening graffiti against West Vancouver Mayor Mary-Ann Booth and council.
On July 31, at approximately 9 am, WVPD received a report of graffiti at 1552 Esquimalt Ave. When officers arrived, they located three large information boards that had been defaced with spray paint. The words “Kill Booth” and “Kill Council” were sprayed across the boards in large letters.
The sign boards were removed immediately.
“This is very concerning for us,” says Constable Kevin Goodmurphy. “We take all reports of threats seriously, and an investigation has been launched in an effort to identify any suspects.”
WVPD investigators believe that the incident took place between July 30 at 3 pm and July 31 at 7am. They are asking anyone who may have information about this to contact police at 604-925-7300 or if they wish to remain anonymous, they may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca.
