On June 11, West Vancouver Police Department is partnering with Pacific Autism Family Network to host a private sensory-friendly police open house for individuals with autism and their families.
Sensory-friendly events allow those with autism to experience something with lower auditory and visual stimulation.
The event will allow participants the opportunity to meet local first responders, take a tour of the police building, and more. Those who participate will be able to explore interactive displays by the West Vancouver Police.
The event takes place on June 11, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the West Vancouver Police Department, at 755, 16th Street in West Vancouver. Registration is required, and if you have any other query, you can contact jasmin@pacificautismfamily.com
There will also be a general public West Vancouver Emergency Services Open House beginning on the same day, in the 700 block of 16th St, from 3:30 – 7:00PM. Registeration, however, is not required for this event. Everyone is welcome.
