District of West Vancouver will close the 13th Street for traffic next week.
“On November 21 & 22, 13th Street will be closed to traffic so that Grosvenor can remove the crane on the site. Traffic will be rerouted to 14th,” said Donna Powers, Director, Community Relations and Communications.
Residents and patrons, however, will still be able to access parking on Bellevue and Ambleside Park through the detour. The same procedure was used when Grosvenor installed the crane. The park will be open to the public, and traffic personnel will be onsite to reroute traffic along 14th Street, Power added.
On November 21, the removal work on the mast section of the tower will start at 7:30 am in the morning, and the demobilisation work will continue until 5:30 pm.
The demobilisation work continues on November 22 until 6:30 pm, when the 13th street will be open to public by 6:30 pm.
Residents have been facing intermittent delays travelling eastbound on Marine Drive between 13th Street and 14th street with phase 2 of Grosvenor Ambleside project. The work started on October 21 and will be complete in six to eight weeks.
