West Vancouver residents can renew their annual parking passes for the Destination Parks Pay Parking Program online or receive in-person assistance at an upcoming drop-in event.

According to the news release issued by the District of West Vancouver, the program includes Lighthouse, Whyte Lake/Nelson Canyon, Whytecliff, Cypress Falls, Seaview Walk and Ambleside parks. Residents are eligible for an annual parking pass at no cost.

Each pass is issued to an individual vehicle or licence plate, with no limit on the number of passes a resident can obtain. Passes are valid for all West Vancouver parks included in the program and remain valid for 365 days from the date of approval.

According to the news release, residents receive a renewal reminder email at the beginning of the month their pass expires. Residents can renew or apply for a pass online by logging into their hangTag account at impark.com/westvan.

The District will also host an in-person registration event on Monday, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Municipal Hall, 750 17th Street, in the Raven Room.

According to the news release, Impark customer service staff will be available to assist residents with applying for a parking pass. Applicants must bring proof of current vehicle registration showing a West Vancouver address and are encouraged to bring their own smartphone or tablet.
