Environment Canada is warning of heaving of winds in North Shore today that can cause damage. A wind warning has been issues for the Metro Vancouver region, including West Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected, and an intense cold front is approaching the South Coast this morning.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
The western sections of Metro Vancouver will see southerly winds shift sharply this morning to northwest 50 to 70 km/h with gusts up to 90 km/h. The wind warning will be in effect for the Southern Gulf Islands as well.
The winds will ease this evening as the front moves eastward.
