Youth injured in E-dirt bike collision in West Vancouver

Crash on Highway 99 near Daisy Lake Road, north of Squamish left one person is in critical condition, and two others were hospitalized.

A youth was injured in an e-dirt bike collision in West Vancouver on the evening of August 12, 2026, prompting police to appeal for witnesses and video footage.

According to the news release by the West Vancouver Police Department, the police responded to a call about a rider injured in the collision at 5:50 p.m. on August 12.

The young rider was transported to Lions Gate Hospital by Emergency Health Services, according to the news release. The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was on scene conducting an investigation.

Suzanne Birch, spokesperson for the West Vancouver Police Department, said police are seeking the public’s help in establishing the events leading up to the collision.

Anyone who witnessed an e-dirt bike rider in the area of 30th Street and Mathers Avenue between 5 p.m. and 5:20 p.m., or who has footage of the incident, is asked to call 604-925-7300 and quote file #26-8462.
