A new taphouse and restaurant, an Italian eatery and a new ramen place will call North Vancouver home this year.
Set to open in the Lonsdale Square development in Central Lonsdale at 126 E21st Street this fall, the Steamworks North Shore taphouse and restaurant will have 20 Steamworks taps featuring classic favourites while showcasing the area’s lively craft beer scene with ten ever-changing guest taps.

“Our flexible and large group-friendly dining room and expansive patio will be serviced by a full kitchen featuring pub favourites’, new fusion creations, plant-based delights and of course weekend brunch,” said Alejandra Oritz, the media relations for the Burnaby-based brewery.
Also set to open this fall at the former Cheshire Cheese Restaurant in Lonsdale Quay market, Fiorino will bring its authentic Italian street food to North Vancouver. The restaurant will feature a patio and a dining area, serving lunch, happy hour, and traditional Italian food in a waterfront setting. Meanwhile, Ramen Danbo, which has two locations in Kitsilano and Robson in Vancouver, is opening its third location in North Vancouver. Though an exact date has yet to be determined, the restaurant plans to open soon at 1445 Lonsdale Ave.
“Our menu is based around traditional Tonkotsu ramen crafted in the Kyushu Hakata style – one of the most popular types in Japan. While experiencing the authentic taste of Fukuoka, you can also customize your ramen and select delicious toppings to create your unique style,” Ramen Danbo says.
Last year, Strathcona Beer Company also announced opening its second location at The Quay, part of an ambitious revitalization push at Lonsdale Quay. Gringo, a popular Mexican eatery, with two locations in Vancouver, is also opening soon in Lower Lonsdale.
